It seems that sometimes, fans are so deeply associated with a play that they fail to differentiate between a character and an actor.
At least that's what seems to be happening in the case of Sabeena Farooq's role in Tere Bin. The actor had to take to her Instagram to declare that she has had enough trolling for playing 'Haya' in the drama.
In her post, the actress pointed out the hate she has receiving, including threats, and warned YouTubers that she would publicly name them if they didn't stop sharing fake content.
"I've been all generous and nice about my character in Tere Bin, joining you all in roast and memes, but there is a limit to everything," she said on Saturday.
"Now that you are putting [up] fake [and] absurd content on YouTube and giving me threats, it really is disturbing for me and my family," Sabeena maintained.
Concluding, she asked her haters to rather unfollow her and skip the scenes of the play containing her role, and warned those behind the campaign of consequences.
The play is directed by Siraj-ul-Haq, and produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. The drama, starring Wahaj Ali as Murtasim, Yumna Zaidi as Meerab, Sabeena Farooq, and Bushra Ansari, resolves around two characters exactly opposite of each other.
Initially, when Meerab get to know about her family’s decision regarding her’s and Murtasim’s life, her world gets upside down. Afterwards, Meerab generates more hatred for Murtasim who later begins to realize Meerab’s arrogant behaviour towards him and considers her a challenge for himself. Since belonging from different backgrounds and mindsets, both of them are in a dilemma due their egos.
At one side, Murtasim wants Meerab to adopt his way of life. Contrary to his decision and intellect, Meerab who is used to live her life on the terms of her own with broad liberty refuses to accept Murtasim’s family traditions along with unnecessary social barriers and restrictions. The fight of egos is leading them towards road of fondness which is creating more thrill for the fans. As for now, the excitement is real.
Now when both Murtasim and Meerab are bounded to face each other, fate paves them towards an unexpected turn. Whether or not their battles of ego, hate and self respect, will make them understand their true feelings for each other is an another level of puzzle and interrogation for all of the viewers.
