You have probably watched Sooryavansham starring Amitabh Bachchan at least once. It won much admiration of the viewers, given the double role played by the legendary actor and the script.
One of the reasons for the film's popularity was its repeated broadcast by Indian TV channel Sat Max, especially on Sundays.
The additional viewership of the film came with the fact that the internet wasn't commonplace at the time.
But the channel reportedly continued with its practice even with the internet being widespread. Annoyed at the repeated broadcast, a viewer penned a hilarious letter to Sat Max, asking to bring it to a stop.
The citizen wrote, "You have a right to [continue to] broadcast Sooryavansham, and I and my family are now well-versed with its script. I do want to know as to how many more times would you broadcast it."
He went on to add, "Who will be responsible if the continued play affects mine or my family's mental health?"
The attempt by the perturbed viewer to get the channel to stop the broadcast drew reactions on the social media.
One Twitter user went on to share the letter online, apparently sharing the 'pain' of other annoyed ones as well.

Meanwhile, the internet has its own theories as to why the viewers have to watch the film so many times. According to a report, the rights of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer were purchased for no less than 100 years.
The 1999-film with Anupam Kher and Kader Khan as the actors still arguably has its fanbase in India and other parts of the world.
Whether or not the broadcast will finally come to a stop is a question for many to guess. But it sure can ensure that the classic movies, whether one likes them or not, are in for now.
