Another alleged audio clip of Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz emerged on Tuesday in which she could purportedly be heard telling an unknown person to check out her 'media management'.
In a leaked audio clip, Maryam said that Geo News and Dunya TV taught a lesson to 'them', in an apparent reference to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.
The clip has been doing the rounds on social media. However, it is not known as to what she was referring to in the five-second audio and when it was sent.
Last month, another audio clip of Maryam Nawaz had gone viral on social media, in which she could be heard instructing that Channel 24, ARY News, 92 News, and Samma should not be given any advertisements at all. Maryam had later confirmed that the video was authentic.
In an apparent reference to Samaa TV’s claim that Saqib Nisar’s leaked audio was a compilation from his different speeches, Maryam said, “Yes, my audio is genuine…I will not say that it was put together by extracting clips from my different speeches”.
Federal ministers had then seized on the opportunity by saying that Maryam had admitted to wrongdoing. Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari wrote on Twitter,” finally she has said something truthful! Point is on what authority did she give these orders?”
