Two Levies personnel were martyred after terrorists attacked their check post near Babri area of Mastung district in Balochistan.
The Mastung assistant commissioner said that the area has been cordoned off and the search operation is underway. He said the bodies of the martyred personnel had been shifted to a hospital.
Following the terrorist attack, locals in the vicinity barricaded the national route between Quetta and Taftan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the terror attack and prayed for the martyred personnel’s great positions in the afterlife. He also expressed his condolences to the families of the martyred personnel. The morale of the security forces is high in the war against terrorism, PM Shehbaz said.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo also denounced the attacks on the check post. Bizenjo also expressed sorrow over the martyrdom of Levies personnel. He expressed his sympathies for the families of the terrorist attack victims.
CM Bizenjo expressed concern over the rise in terror incidents, saying the enemies want to deteriorate the peace of Balochistan.
The chief minister instructed the law enforcement agencies to make use of all resources in order to apprehend the terrorists. "We need to be more vigilant to disrupt the schemes of the country's enemies," he added.
