Donald Sutherland, a Canadian actor, appeared in several good films, including The Hunger Games, Pride and Prejudice, and Don't Look Now. The actor died last night, at the age of 88, following a protracted illness. According to sources, he was suffering from polio, hepatitis, and rheumatic fever.
His son, Kiefer Sutherland, shared the news on social media. Kiefer said in a message, "With a heavy heart, I inform you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has died. Personally, I believe he is one of the most significant performers in film history."
Furthermore, he stated, "I'm never intimidated by a part, good or terrible. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and you can't ask for much more. A life well lived."
The actor is survived by his wife Francine Racette, sons Rossif, Angus, Roeg, and Kiefer, as well as daughter Rachel and four grandkids.
