Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that the government will speak to lawyers and decide what legal action can be taken against the New Zealand and England cricket boards for calling off their tours to Pakistan.
In a tweet, the information minister said that the Pakistan Television (PTV) had to suffer great financial loss after the two boards cancelled their Pakistan tour.
He said that the government would consult lawyers to discuss the possibility of legal action against the two boards, A specific foreign lobby is busy against Pakistan but those wishing to make us bend will never be successful," he wrote. The minister added that those who think Pakistan will cow down should get rid of their misunderstanding.

The minister's remarks come a day after England cancelled its team's tour to Pakistan.
The information minister's comments come a day after the ECB announced that it was withdrawing both its men's and women's teams from their Pakistan tour scheduled for next month.
We can confirm that the Board has reluctantly decided to withdraw both teams from the October trip,” a tweet from the board’s official account said.
England’s men and women teams were going to visit Pakistan to play two Twenty20s in Rawalpindi. The matches were scheduled to be held on October 13 and 14.
“We are sincerely sorry for the impact this will have on cricket in Pakistan and emphasise an ongoing commitment to our main touring plans there for 2022,” the English cricket board said while announcing its decision. Acknowledging PCB’s support over the last two summers, the English cricket board termed it ‘a huge demonstration of friendship’.
