Nation Celebrates Eid ul Fitr With Religious Zeal And Fervour
The nation is celebrating Eid ul Fitr, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan's month-long fast, with religious passion and fervor.

After the Fajr prayer, the Eid prayer was held to commemorate the day. Sermons and vast crowds were present. After prayers, the participants also gave one another hugs to show their love for one another.

People were observed wearing their preferred attire to celebrate the momentous event, while some chose to hold off because of the recession's impact on the general populace's spending ability.

The message of the President

In his message to the nation on this auspicious day, President Dr Arif Alvi urged his fellow countrymen not to let their sectarian, religious, and political differences become a source of conflict and animosity.

He said that the people needed to practice forgiveness and adhere to the teachings of Allah Almighty and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in order to escape the predicament the nation was currently in.

The president, who congratulated the entire Pakistani nation and Islamic world on Eid ul Fitr, said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) also exhorted us to show mercy and forgive others to seek the mercy and forgiveness of Allah.

He also urged the countrymen to play their part in moving the country toward political and economic stability. President Alvi also said, "While Ramadan creates piety in us, it also makes us realize the sufferings, hunger, and distress of others."

"This realization can serve as the foundation for eliminating poverty and injustice in any society," he continued. On this occasion of Eid, we should promise to uphold these virtues of piety and realization throughout the year and to play our part in contributing to society's prosperity.

The president asserted, "In order for God to be merciful to us on the Day of Resurrection, we must follow Allah's instructions to forgive others."

In his prayer to Allah Almighty, he asked that He accept "our fasts and prayers during Ramadan" and provide the nation with development and prosperity.
