Korean Muslim pop artist, actor, and YouTuber Daud Kim has embarked on a remarkable endeavor: the construction of a mosque in the vibrant city of Incheon. This important project came after Dawood Kim's deep spiritual journey, which led to his conversion to Islam in 2019.
On Instagram, Daud Kim shared the news with his followers. He revealed that he had successfully negotiated a deal to acquire the land for the mosque. This plot in the heart of Incheon will soon be transformed into a sacred space for worship and community.
In his post, Daud Kim expressed his gratitude: “Finally, with your help, I have signed a contract for land to build a mosque in Incheon. This place will soon become a mosque. I can’t believe this day has come.”
His unwavering commitment to the project reflects his deep faith and commitment.
Kim's approach goes beyond physical structure. Along with the prayer hall, he plans to set up an Islamic podcast studio. The studio will serve as a platform to spread the message of Islam to Koreans, promote understanding, and foster dialogue.
“I believe that it’s truly a huge step,” Daud Kim stated. “There will be many hardships, but I believe I can do it. Until the day when every street in Korea is filled with beautiful Azan, I will do my best,” he added.
For the mosque to become a reality, Daud Kim seeks financial assistance. He humbly appeals to those who share his vision to contribute to this noble cause. “And I need financial help to complete the building,” he emphasized. “If you would like to help, please donate here. Thank you so much.”
Kim, formerly known as Kim Kyun Woo and professionally as Jay Kim, rose to fame as a singer and actor. His conversion to Islam in 2019 was a turning point in his life. Since then, he has openly expressed his desire to visit Mecca and Medina. In 2022, during Ramadan, Kim performed Umrah, deepening his connection to the faith.
As news of Daud Kim's mosque project spreads, the international community eagerly awaits the completion of this impressive initiative. His dedication to bridging cultures and promoting understanding through faith exemplifies the power of unity and compassion.
