When in doubt, put on a romantic movie and allow yourself the voyeuristic pleasure of watching two people in love. Not only will this one leave you craving a trip to Europe, but it'll also make you wonder if you should have been politer to that stranger who sat next to you on the airplane that one time. It's romantic, it's funny and it's so wholesome. 10/10. - TV Show: Community
Is this the best comedy show out there? It's possible. Community is sharp and witty and very meta. A show following a group of mismatched students at a community college, you're going to be addicted and will want to watch an entire season in one go. It gets bonus points because episodes aren't too lengthy that you feel bogged down. So they're bite sized nuggets of entertainment that will definitely distract you from the chaos in the country. - Song: Bad Habit by Steve Lacy
Sure, this song has been trending all over TikTok and is basically inescapable, but that's also because it's very good and super catchy. Islands in the Stream is one of his less popular works, but it's classic Hemingway the minute you start reading it. What's more, it'll transport you to a Caribbean holiday without ever having to leave your house. What more could we want during times like these?
