Amplifying Diaspora Voices in the US, Local Leadership, and Human Rights Advocates

Hosts Misbah Azam and Faraz Darvesh are joined by Dr Ameena Zia, professor of Political Economy and founder of Blue Ridge Impact Consulting, with a focus on sustaining policy matters; and Sumbul Aurangzeb, former head of district project of US congressman, Eddie Bernice Johnson, currently focusing on non-profit development of local politics.

As the diaspora voice echoes in the U.S., a letter has been addressed to the U.S. Congress highlighting concerns about human rights violations and related issues in Pakistan, specifically in connection to the detention of Imran Khan.

Simultaneously, supporters of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Imran Khan are actively engaged in lobbying efforts in the United States, advocating for the cessation of military aid and seeking assistance with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) program. Conversely, Imran Khan's sister has asserted their intention to pursue legal action against Donald Lu, alleging his involvement in a conspiracy to overthrow Imran Khan's government.
