Pakistan-Denmark Annual Bilateral Political Consultations Held

The demand for Danish visas has increased in Pakistan, prompting the Danish government to enhance the capacity at their embassy in Islamabad to process visas.

This was disclosed by the Danish diplomats participating in the third round of Pakistan-Denmark Annual Bilateral Political Consultations (BPC). The consultations were held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 21, 2023.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Additional Secretary (Europe) Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan and Denmark's Under Secretary for Foreign Policy Ambassador Anders Tang Friborg led their respective sides.

Both sides extensively reviewed the entire scope of bilateral relations, including political relations, trade, climate change, green energy cooperation, investment, and people-to-people contacts. 

Both sides expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of bilateral relations between the two countries. They agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.

During the consultations, the Danish side shared that they are enhancing the Danish Embassy's capacity in Islamabad to meet the increasing demand of Pakistani visa applicants for travel to Denmark.
