Three soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred while fighting terrorists who opened fire on Pakistani troops from inside Afghanistan in the Dewagar area of the North Waziristan district, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The statement further said: “The Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner. As per credible intelligence reports, due to fire of own troops, terrorists suffered heavy casualties.”
However, Havaldar Taimoor (resident of Jhelum, aged 30), Naik Shoaib (resident of Attock, aged 38) and Sepoy Saqib Nawaz (resident of Sialkot, aged 24), embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists.
The ISPR statement further said, “Pakistan strongly condemns the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that Afghan Government will not allow conduct of such activities, in future.
Pak Army is determined to defend Pakistan's borders against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve.”
