Feedspot, an online outlet that keeps track of websites, blogs, YouTube channels and podcasts, listed the publications in its most comprehensive list of Top 90 Pakistan News Websites.
The organisation sets the parameters of website activity, relevance of content, followers, and daily traffic to evaluate a website.

The Friday Times is Pakistan’s first independent weekly, founded in 1989. In 2021, the publication went into collaboration with digital news platform Naya Daur Media to publish under a daily cycle.
According to a recent report by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, digitisation has the potential to add $60 billion to the national economy within the next seven to eight years.
“Digitisation offers innovative employment prospects to 23% of the population falling in the age bracket of 20–34 years of age group,” it said.
The report titled “Recommendations for Digital Transformation in Pakistan”, presented to the president of Pakistan, aims to assist the country in its digital journey. The report puts forth suggestions on fintech, IT exports, e-commerce, and web 3.0 technologies, among other areas.
OICCI President Ghias Khan said, “Digitisation can also help with the inclusion of the underserved population of society living in the far-flung areas of the country. Around 23 million children in Pakistan are out of school and we have less than one physician for 1000 people."
"To help Pakistan overcome these issues, it is important to digitise the education and health sectors in a phased manner, preparing national electronic health records and arranging capacity-building workshops for professionals,” he maintained.
