Shoaib Akhtar Condemns Babar Azam’s Absence From WC Promo
Former Pakistani Test cricketer Shoaib Akhtar lambasted those responsible for leaving out Pakistan and Babar Azam's major role in the World Cup (WC) 2023 promo.

Akhtar commented on the debate around the World Cup promo, which has been in the news ever since it was released.

Whoever believed that the World Cup promo would be successful without Pakistan and Babar Azam's prominent involvement has truly revealed himself to be a joke. Come on, gentlemen, it's time to mature a little," he tweeted.

On Thursday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the promotional video for the World Cup 2023, which stars Shahrukh Khan from the film industry.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has been under fire from cricket fans all around the world for failing to recognize Pakistani captain and top ODI batter Babar Azam.

Fans expressed concern about the absence of Babar, the top batter in the world in the white-ball style.

The cricket community thought that because the BCCI would be hosting the event, the promotional video would focus more on the Indian cricket team.

From October 5 to November 19, 10 teams will compete for the coveted trophy at 10 different locations, with the tournament's opening game and championship game taking place in Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
