PTI Hires Another Lobbying Firm In US To Enhance Party’s Reputation
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which has accused the US of overthrowing its government, has engaged a new lobbying agency to advance the party's reputation in an effort to improve relations with American policymakers.

According to documents that surfaced on Wednesday, PTI USA agreed to work with Praia Consultants LLC, a lobbying firm with offices in Washington, to advance its objectives of "positive relations with the United States and the Pakistani diaspora in the US."

According to the paperwork submitted to the US Justice Department under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, the contract was signed on February 21 and was for a period of six months.

The lobbying firm's main customer, PTI USA, is situated in New York and will get a monthly payment of $8,333.00 from them.

"Throughout the period of this agreement, the firm shall render professional guidance with respect to the client's dealings with United States institutions and government.

The contract further stipulates that the company will arrange meetings with a number of significant American decision-makers and will offer recommendations over the meetings' agendas.

If neither party objects and gives written approval before June 30, 2023, the agreement will also be extended for an additional six months, until January 31, 2024.

In order to provide public relations services, the PTI hired the lobbying and PR firm Fenton/Arlook last year. These services included but were not limited to, informing and briefing journalists, placing articles and broadcasts, setting up interviews with PTI representatives or supporters, offering guidance on social media initiatives, and other similar public relations services.

Many US lawmakers and prominent individuals have recently defended the former prime minister Imran Khan and urged the Pakistani government to uphold the rule of law.

In the meantime, the administration has forcefully responded to the news and accused Imran Khan of supporting those who desired subversion in Pakistan.
