Four missing members of the Balochistan Assembly appear to have resurfaced in Islamabad, and have released a video of themselves together, stating that they had not been kidnapped. They explained their reasons for being in the federal capital in this video. Each of them stated that they are temporarily in the federal capital and would return to Quetta shortly. One of the MPAs cited medical tests as her reason for being in Islamabad.
“We are part of the Qudoos Bizenjo group and we will remain with it,” the four MPAs said.
Meanwhile, disgruntled members of the Balochistan Assembly had earlier this week tabled a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan. For his part, the Balochistan CM claims to enjoy the support of a majority of provincial lawmakers, and dismisses claims that a no-confidence motion against him could succeed. He has also denied the reports of his resignation as Chief Minister.
