A bride in Tamil Nadu, India ditched her husband after the groom-to-be slapped her for dancing with her male cousin during wedding celebrations.
During a DJ-night, pre-wedding function, the bride had begun dancing with her cousin, who had come up the couple and started holding their hands and dancing, much to the groom's chagrin.
In retaliation, the groom pushed the cousin and slapped his bride in front of all of their family and friends.
However, this modern bride was having none of it. With the blessings of her family, she dumped the groom and married another man, who also happened to be a wedding guest.
The family also saved on wedding celebrations, as they were able to hold the planned events, albeit with a new groom.
The groom, who reported to have spent Rs.7 lakhs on the wedding arrangements, filed a complaint with police over the incident.
