PML-N supremo has said that he hasn’t seen a bigger fraud than PTI chief Imran Khan, as he spoke about the former premier's style of politics.
“I have heard that the [caretaker Punjab] government has constituted a JIT to investigate the violence in recent days,” he said while taking to media persons in London.
According to Nawaz, everyone knew about what kind of a fraud he [Imran] is, but no one knew he was a terrorist, too.
“But it has now begun to come out in the open,” the PML-N leader said and went on to add that he had not seen a bigger terrorist than him [Imran].”
Petrol bombs
To a question on the use of petrol bombs, he termed it catastrophic. “Did they want police personnel to burn and die?” he asked.
“Who has taught him this; I have never seen a political party resort to such tactics; it is unacceptable.”
Concluding, Nawaz asked if such people wanted to push the country to the brink, and called for strict action against 'those responsible'.
Judicial complex violence
Islamabad police booked PTI chairman and other party leaders for violence at Federal Judicial Complex. Some 38 people in total were held for damaging state property.
Clashes broke as the former premier appeared in the court for a hearing into the Toshakhana reference.
A day after the cases were filed, caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi warned that any further manhandling of police personnel will meet an equal response.
He also announced the formation of a JIT to probe the violence. Criticising the former premier’s conduct, he said that police security given to him could be withdrawn.
The CM said he has given the police chief full powers to do what he deems appropriate to deal with a mistreatment with the police. “I won’t interfere now,” he added.
