Will Respond To Bullet With Bullet, IGP Warns Anti-Social Elements
Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar has said that if a fire is opened on the law enforcers, they would likewise respond defensively.

On Thursday, the IGP spoke to police officers at the Qila Gujjar Singh Police Lines. He said: "The Punjab Police are the guardians; we will not murder anyone, but we will repel any assault by terrorists, anti-social elements, or other individuals who jeopardize national security. If the police are attacked with fire, we will likewise defend ourselves by returning fire."

The Punjab IGP stated the following in response to the allegations made against him in the national and social media: "I was accused of hatching a plot to assassinate our own personnel and then people would be slain in retribution."

"Form a judicial committee and travel to any court in the world or speak at any UN event." "I'll take any punishment offered if this is confirmed to be true. However, simply removing the tweet will not solve the problem if the accusation cannot be proven," he added.

He said that laying blame would not be effective and that everyone should put the truth and reality first.

The IGP stated, during his speech, that those who had abused his mother had been guaranteed the safety of the women in their home.

"The police were put on duty without guns to protect the children of those who abused our children," IGP Anwar said, adding, "I gave a clear order to the police force that all ladies should be accorded equal respect and honor."

He said that the police's command and personnel would stop at nothing to safeguard citizens' lives, property, and honor. He gave Lahore CCPO Bilal Siddique the instructions to increase security at PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s Lahore residence, Zaman Park.

IGP Anwar also stated that if the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) decides to hold elections in the province, the provincial police will fully participate in holding fair, unbiased, and peaceful elections.
