Caretaker Minister of Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed has reiterated that he will leave no stone unturned in promoting interfaith harmony in the country.

The minister expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. On the occasion, he stated, "The doors of the religious ministry have been opened for the welfare of all the minorities of the country."

He lauded the role of all the minorities in the prosperity of the country, saying, "All the minorities are working for the sake of the country’s development."

Meanwhile, the Prabandhak Committee praised the state’s initiatives for the protection of the Sikh community.

"The Pakistani Sikhs are playing their role in the development of the country and working in different fields in this regard," the delegation added.

On Monday, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, along with Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and federal ministers, visited Jaranwala to express solidarity with the Christian community.

He visited the burned churches and met with survivors to assure them of his support for them. Moreover, he also distributed the compensation cheques to those who were affected by the brutal incident.

Furthermore, multiple Joint Investigation Teams (JITs) have been formed to probe the incident.
