Zoo Official Removed After Death Of Rare White Tiger Kept In Poor Condition
Karachi Zoological Garden's senior director Khalid Hashmi has been removed from his post by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). The decision was taken after a rare white lion in the Karachi zoo, whose video went viral on social media and generated a backlash due to the poor condition in which he was kept by the zoo authorities, died.

Following the animal's death, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab took notice of the matter and sought a detailed report from the zoo management. He vowed to take 'strict disciplinary action against those found guilty of negligence'.

Celebrities including Shaneira Akram, Fatima Bhutto, and Ahsan Khan had expressed anger and disappointment at the heartbreaking video.

The video was originally meant to shed light on the shortage of food supply at the zoo due to non-payment of dues by the Karachi Metropolitan Cooperation (KMC). It generated an uproar among social media users.
