Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), that claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s attack on Chinese nationals, stated that its first female suicide bomber, Shari Baloch, conducted the attack that killed three Chinese nationals and one Pakistani.
BLA also released a picture of Shari Baloch, who went by the alias Bramsh. Reports from journalists and activists on the ground have revealed some information about the suicide attacker.

Shari Baloch was the mother of two young children: a daughter, and a son. Her husband was a doctor, and she herself came from a highly educated family, according to sources. She reportedly held two masters degrees: an MSc in Zoology, and an M.Phil in Education.

Activists and journalists familiar with Baloch insurgency say women being employed by the BLA for these attacks are either related to Baloch insurgents or are former BSO activists themselves.
