Pakistan Muslim League - N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz, lashing out at former prime minister Imran Khan during her address to party workers in Lahore on Wednesday night, said that the courts had to open at 12 AM because Khan had launched a 'suicide attack' against the Constitution.
She said that Imran Khan should change his name to 'king of liars' because 'he has never spoken the truth'. She said that the PTI chairman acted as if the courts would just "keep looking at his face" as he "trampled court orders" and made a mockery of the Constitution.
Maryam said, “When the time came to play the last ball he ran away from the ground. When the time came for the last over he did not leave the pavilion." She added that the former prime minister had been "crying" ever since he lost power.
She alleged that PTI members had been acting like "thugs" in the assemblies. "Your employees committed treason," she said.
Referring to the 'threat' letter Imran Khan had talked about, she said that when he failed, he came up with a fake letter. She added that he got a 'befitting' reply from the security authorities and the state regarding the letter.
Maryam also mentioned that her cousin Hamza Shahbaz would be taking oath as Punjab chief minister tomorrow. Earlier, chief Minister-elect Hamza had also accused the former prime minister of hiding behind fake tears and making false promises, and vowed that his government would not let Imran Khan "hide behind fake tears."
