Three terrorists were neutralized in two successful operations carried out by the security forces in the districts of Khyber and South Waziristan the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

On July 27, in the general vicinity of Bagh in the Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a sniper from a militant organization was killed during a gunfire exchange between forces and militants.

"Own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location. Resultantly, one terrorist sniper got killed," the military's media wing stated.

It stated that in addition to the terrorist's body, guns and ammunition were also recovered.

Separately, on July 28, in the approximate vicinity of Gomal Zam, South Waziristan District, two more terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire between the army and the terrorists.

The ISPR said the terrorists who were slain "remain actively engaged in terrorist activities against security forces as well as the killing of innocent citizens."

The location is currently being sanitized in order to get rid of any further terrorists that may have been hiding there, the ISPR said.

The neighborhood's residents expressed gratitude for the operation and their unwavering support for eradicating the threat of terrorism.
