Bridging divides

Madam,

The Sindh governor might be a nice man but he is not playing an important role in bridging the gap between the centre and the chief minister of the province. I feel that all political parties are equally responsible for problems of health, education, water and sewerage in Karachi and Sindh. Someone please give a wake-up call to the PPP in Sindh. If the PTI and MQM allow PPP to carry on then, they are equal partners in crime.

Javed Shah,

Karachi.

Green Line

Madam,

Karachi’s Green Line Bus Project was started in early 2016 and the end of 2017 was set as the completion target. However, no progress has been made in the last 15 months, and I doubt it will go on for another couple of years.

This project is testing the patience of the people of Karachi. The city’s infrastructure was already in bad shape and I think they are making it worse.

The traffic situation all over the city is in the doldrums. No one knows what is going on. Forget us citizens, the provincial and federal governments don’t have any idea either. There were many promises made during the election campaigns but those elected have yet to fulfill any of them. Karachi and its people deserve better. I request the government to look into this matter seriously.

Sultan Ahmed,

Karachi.
