Prominent preacher Maulana Tariq Jamil on Sunday said that his son, Asim Jamil, had passed away in an 'accident' in Tulamba, Khanewal.
In a message posted on the social media network 'X' (formerly Twitter), Jamil, on his official account, said that the "accidental death had filled the air with grief."
"I request all of you to remember us in your prayers in this hour of grief," he stated.

Jamil, who is from Mian Chunnu, has set up his non-profit organisation, Maulana Tariq Jamil Foundation, in Tulamba.
The organisation is involved in social work, promoting health and education in the district.
Jamil did not provide details on the accident that led to Asim's death.
