Domestic violence is already a topic shrouded in societal taboo and shame, causing it to hardly ever come up as a topic of conversation. This disallows any constructive discourse around the issue, halting any progress for Pakistani women. What we need right now is official action that is headfast and persistent in the statement it makes.
