In this series, ‘The people of India’ photographic illustrations, with descriptive letterpress were put together of the races and tribes of Hindustan, originally prepared under the authority of the government of India, and reproduced. The images are dated between 1868 and 1875. The collection, located in London, was published by the India Museum.
