Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed the relevant authorities to ensure that 'Durood Sharif' is recited during morning assembly in all schools of the province.
Following Buzdar's instructions, Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal reportedly sent a notification to all schools in Punjab, asking the administration to make arrangements for recitation of Holy Quran and then Durood Sharif before the national anthem chorus.
While issuing the orders, the chief minister said that Durood's recitation blesses us and keeps us safe. He added that the young generation should be aware of the blessings which is why the decision is being made. The chief minister added that reciting Durood Sharif to express one's respect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was an honourable act.
