During a show on ARY News, when anchor Waseem Badami read out some of her controversial tweets against opposition leaders including Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz, she appeared clueless about their meaning. "You wrote these tweets, yet you do not seem to know what I am talking about," the anchor asked her, to which she did not have a response.
The actor said that the tweets reflected her own views but the words are not necessarily hers. "I cannot write Urdu so perfectly," she added, much to the surprise of the anchor.
"It appears that Veena Malik has outsourced her Twitter account," Waseem Badami jokingly said. "You said Azmat Saeed should hold an inquiry into the Hudaibiya Papers case. Who is Azmat Saeed? What is the Hudaibiya inquiry?" the anchor asked her. Veena began smiling and asked "when was this?"
The anchor then proceeded to ask her who Azmat Saeed Sheikh is, and she failed to answer the question.
Waseem Badami also asked her what her views on professor Pervez Hoodbhoy's statement on hijab were (since she had tweeted against him). She could not answer this question either.
Backstory
Veena Malik has been posting abusive tweets against public figures including Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
She had been referring to Maryam Nawaz as 'naani' (grandmother) in her tweets -- a term used as an insult for the opposition leader by the ruling party's supporters.

In June, Veena also reacted to Malala Yousafzai's statement about marriage with an abusive comment.

Twitterati had been wondering how an actor who never seemed interested in politics suddenly began to post pro-government tweets as if she was a member of the ruling party's social media team. The mystery now seems to have been resolved as Veena has revealed that she does not write her own tweets.
