Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to a hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.
The 97-year-old has been admitted to the National Heart Institute for observation for the next few days as advised by medical experts, a statement from his office said However, the statement did not provide details of symptoms or condition.
Mahathir had received at least three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine with a final shot in November, 2021. The former prime minister has a history of cardiac ailments. He had an extended hospital stay in late January.
