Petrol Prices To Remain Unchanged Until Jan 15
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has announced that the prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged until January 15 despite a rise in the prices globally.

Making the announcement, the minister said that the government wanted to provide maximum relief to people and that is why a summary by OGRA to raise the prices wasn't approved.

According to the decision, the price of petrol, diesel, light diesel, and kerosene oil will remain the same until a next decision in this regard.

On Dec 15, the minister announced to slash the price of petrol by Rs10 per litre and diesel by Rs7.5 per litre.

It was reported on Dec 20 that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has been asked to bring down the price of petrol to Rs190 per litre ahead of party supremo Nawaz Sharif’s much-anticipated return to the country.

According to media reports, the directives were given to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the finance minister

PML-N sources say Nawaz wants petrol at the said price as well as relief for power consumers utilising a maximum of 300 units.
