Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that the government, their handlers, and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) are completely making a mockery of the Constitution.
He said that the apex court's decision on whether to hear his party's plea with a five-member bench or a full court is of no importance, saying most crucial to the PTI is whether elections will take place in compliance with the Constitution or not.
Imran Khan expressed these views following the dissolution of the five-member bench of the Supreme Court when Justice Amin-Ud-Din Khan withdrew from the case being heard on the election delay under Article 184(3).

On Thursday, there was no hearing for the PTI's appeal against the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to postpone the polls in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. At 11:30am, the Supreme Court was scheduled to pick up the hearing. Nevertheless, due to Justice Amin-Ud-Din’s recusal, the hearing was postponed.
Imran Khan responded to the news on social media, writing: "If it's a full Supreme Court bench or a five-member bench, it makes no difference to us since all we care about is whether elections will be held within the constitutionally mandated 90 days."
In response to the current events, he expressed shock and stated, "When we dissolved our two provincial parliaments, I engaged our finest lawyers, all of whom were very convinced that the 90-day constitutional clause on holding elections was inviolable."
Since his ouster as premier in April last year as a result of a vote of no-confidence, the PTI chief has demanded early elections.
Later, at his direction, the provincial assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were dissolved in January of this year as part of the PTI's plan to win early elections.
However, the bench hearing the party's plea for elections in the two provinces was dissolved in the most recent development,
The leader of the PTI referred to the ruling alliance's efforts to delay the elections as a mockery of the Constitution.
He stated that they were endangering Pakistan's constitution and rule of law by selectively adhering to certain articles of the constitution.
Imran Khan said that they are willing to destroy the Constitution and disobey any rule of law because they are so terrified of holding elections and anxious to keep their leaders in power.
He added, "They are prepared to destroy the Constitution and any pretence of rule of law because they are so terrified of elections and so anxious to exonerate their convicted leaders.
