Curses vs. shoes


According to Daily Dunya (05 February 2018), Federal Minister Abid Sher Ali opined that Imran Khan had used a government helicopter like a yellow cab. He further stated that he would with his own hands strike with a shoe those who cursed the Parliament.


Crackdown on kites


It was reported by Daily Dunya (05 February 2018) that Lahore police had arrested 51 people who manufactured kites – recovering more than 3,000 kites and a large amount of kite-string from their possession.


Zardari on ‘Mujhe kyoon nikala’


PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, according to Daily Dunya (05 February 2018) expressed his opinion that Nawaz Sharif had been ousted because he had become a burden upon the land (dharti pe bojh). He further added that the land itself had rejected the former PM.

If only…


According to Daily Express (06 February 2018), former PM Nawaz Sharif told a rally in Azad Kashmir that if he had not been ousted, in 2-4 years no young person would have remained unemployed, everyone would have gotten affordable justice and all oppressors and criminals would have been apprehended within six months.

Captain (r.) Safdar of the PML-N, according to Daily Express (07 February 2018), alleged that there are several marriages which Imran Khan has not yet announced. He also quipped in Punjabi, “Someone who can swindle the Pirs, nobody can be a bigger swindler!” (Jera peer’an nu thug jaey, odhey toun wadda thug kehra ho sakda ey?)
