Another first information report (FIR) has been filed against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed at a police station in Karachi for using ‘immoral’ language against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto.
As per sources, a Karachi police team, comprising SHO and SDP, has reached Islamabad to arrest the former minister. Sources said that Sheikh Rasheed will be shifted to Karachi today.
The FIR was lodged in response to a complaint filed by PPP local leader Khuda Baksh. The FIR states that Sheikh Rasheed made 'nasty' remarks against Bilawal Bhutto, which caused unrest among the party workers. The FIR contends that the AML chief tried to create chaos in the country by provoking the PPP workers.

The case was filed at the complaint of a police official, Ashiq Ali, appointed at Aabpara police station, Islamabad.
The FIR was registered under Section 154 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Pakistan. The FIR states that Sheikh Rasheed resisted his arrest with the help of his armed servants, warned the police personnel of dire consequences and caused interference in official affairs.
The FIR states that the former interior minister physically pushed and abused the police officers and threatened them with serious consequences at gunpoint. Sheikh Rasheed’s two employees have also been named in the case.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Rawalpindi Division President Raja Inayat Ur Rehman had filed a case against Sheikh Rasheed in Islamabad’s police station for alleging that former president Asif Ali Zardari was hatching a plot to assassinate PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
