Bloody Friday: Multiple Terror Attacks Martyrs 20 Security Officials Across Western Pakistan

Multiple terror attacks across Western Pakistan saw at least 20 security officials martyred.

At least 14 security personnel were martyred when their convoy was ambushed in Pasni, near Gwadar along the coast in Balochistan.

A statement issued by the military's media wing, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), said that two vehicles of security forces was moving from Pasni to Ormara in the Gwadar district when they were ambushed.

In the aftermath of the attack, ISPR said that a "sanitization" operation is being carried out in the area. "perpetrators of this heinous act will be hunted down and brought to justice."

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the statement added.

Earlier in the day, at least six people were martyred and 20 others were injured when a bomb targeted a police van in Dera Ismail Khan on Friday, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Information Minister Firdous Jamal Shah confirmed.

Authorities said the blast occurred in Tank Adda as a police van was escorted, wounding 22 individuals. Gunfire was reportedly heard following the explosion.

The dead and injured were rushed to a local hospital where doctors described the condition of some of the victims as critical.

The minister added that among the 22 injured were two police officers.

The minister vowed that "those elements involved in the explosion and terrorism will be brought to justice."

Numerous people were killed in two bombs that occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan last month on the day of Eid Miladun Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Twelve people suffered injuries and five people died in the explosion that happened in KP's Hangu during the Friday sermon.

Two suicide bombers were involved in the incident, according to Hangu District Police Officer Nisar Ahmed. One bomber attacked the police station's gate, and the other detonated himself inside the mosque.

Additionally, two law enforcement officers received injuries in the gunfire, according to law enforcement authorities, who also stated that the other militants detonated themselves inside the mosque.

A suicide explosion in the Mastung area of Balochistan earlier in the day left over 45 people injured and at least 35 dead, including a police officer.

Pakistan has experienced a wave of terror strikes over the past year, with terrorists specifically targeting security forces and civilians in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to undermine peace.

However, security forces are still fighting terrorists in order to eradicate terrorism from the country in an effort to honor the soldiers' sacrifices.
