'Names Echoing For Caretaker PM Slot Are Not Even In The Race'
The names being rumored for the slot of caretaker prime minister are not even in the actual race for the coveted temporary position. This has been claimed by journalist Ajmal Jami.

In his latest vlog, Jami said that the names echoing are due to lobbying by their well-wishers and supporters. He mentioned that, no doubt, these names are reputed and respectable in their respective fields, but they are not in consideration for the slot of the caretaker prime minister. He went a step further and claimed that they are not even in the race.

In particular, he said that the names of some journalists and media shareholders which were previously rumored, are not being considered for this slot.

While talking about the general elections, he said that the situation depends on who becomes the caretaker prime minister. He added that the name of the caretaker prime minister will determine whether elections will be held in 90 days or they will be delayed by around six months.

He said that if a non-economist becomes the caretaker prime minister, then elections would be held in 90 days, but if an economist becomes the caretaker premier, then polls could end up taking place in 2024 further till the deal is finalized with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

While concluding his vlog, Jami stressed that Mian Amir, the owner of Dunya News and Lahore News, is not interested in the race for the caretaker PM.

He said that the National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) new ordinance is aimed at conducting accountability in the Toshakhana case. While talking about the expected imprisonment of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, he said this entire process will be executed during the tenure of the caretaker setup.
