Family Of ‘Abducted’ Fisherman Continues Protest Near Gwadar Port Demanding Justice

The family of Noman Ishaq, a young fisherman who was allegedly abducted nearly two months ago, is intensifying their protest with a sit-in near Gwadar Port. As they mark the second day of their demonstration, the family continues to demand answers and justice for Ishaq, whose disappearance has sparked growing concern and public outcry.

Noman, 23, had no involvement in any political activities, as claimed by his sister, who expressed her disbelief at his abduction. “If my brother is guilty, he should be presented before a court,” she said.

The family’s protest has garnered attention due to the extreme cold weather conditions, with the family spending the night under the open sky. Despite their relentless demand for justice, no officials have approached them for direct negotiations.

In an effort to escalate their protest, the family has announced plans to block the CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) road unless Noman is released soon. The local district administration has sent a message to the family, urging them to come to the DC office for potential talks. However, Noman’s brother, Sameen Zaib, a prominent young Balochi poet, insists that no one from the government has engaged with them yet.

The protest, which has drawn attention to rising concerns over disappearances in the region, continues as the family remains determined to seek answers and justice for Noman.
