The family of Noman Ishaq, a young fisherman who was allegedly abducted nearly two months ago, has suspended their sit-in near Gwadar Port following a visit from the Deputy Commissioner of Gwadar. The official assured the family that their son would be presented within five days.
The family had been protesting and staging the sit-in for the last two days, demanding the safe return of their loved one, who was taken from the Dhoria area on November 7, 2024.
Noman, 23, had no involvement in any political activities, as claimed by his sister, who expressed her disbelief at his abduction. “If my brother is guilty, he should be presented before a court,” she said.
The family’s protest had garnered attention due to the extreme cold weather conditions, with the family spending the last two nights under the open sky.
