Ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan's return to Bani Gala, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said he 'welcomes' Khan to the capital, adding that the police assigned to the party chief for his protection will 'happily' arrest him on the expiry of his pre-arrest bail.
Several PTI leaders had been confirming the occurrence of a party core committee meeting in Bani Gala yesterday (Sunday), including former information minister Fawad Chaudhry, who verified in a tweet that several members had started coming in for the meeting.
Similarly, PTI leader Shahbaz Gill confirmed the arrival of Khan in Bani Gala on his Twitter.

Since calling off his party's long march on May 25, Khan had been holed up in Peshawar, during which time the incumbent government booked the party chairperson as well as several other PTI leaders and workers in a number of cases over charges of vandalism and arson.
Imran then sought pre-arrest bail from the Peshawar High Court, which granted him impunity till June 25, and instructed him to show up at the Islamabad sessions court before the expiry of his exemption.
According to a tweet by the Islamabad Police, security around Bani Gala had been tightened ahead of Khan's arrival, however they had not received any confirmation that he had arrived. The tweet also said that cooperation was expected from the PTI chairperson's security teams as well.

How can one be the head of a political party in a democratic society?" he asked, adding that this was a 'moment of reflection' for the nation.
