Rawalpindi Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a joint operation on Wednesday night and successfully thwarted a massive disaster at Adiala jail by apprehending three terrorists armed with heavy weapons, ammunition, and maps of the jail.
According to the Rawalpindi Capital Police Officer (CPO), three Afghan terrorists had been relocated to a "'safe place' for interrogation.
A map of Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail, hand grenades, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were recovered from the apprehended terrorists.
"Automatic weapons were also recovered from terrorists," the Rawalpindi CPO stated.
"Police and other law enforcement agencies are conducting a search operation around the neighborhood of Adiala," the CPO said.
