Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan claimed on Friday that four people had conspired to kill him.
The former prime minister made the claim at a show of power in Mianwali. He said the names of the four individuals, who had conspired to have him assassinated, would be revealed before the people if anything untoward was to happen to him.
Claims about Khan's life being in peril have been aired earlier too.
Over 250 personnel from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Frontier Constabulary and Pakistan Rangers are deployed to ensure Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s security, according to Islamabad IG Akbar Nasir Khan earlier in September. The police chief told the Senate Standing Committee on Interior that 266 personnel has been tasked with the duty. The IG said a total cost of Rs240 million was being incurred yearly on ensuring the same.
