Maryam Nawaz Demands Faiz Hameed's Court Martial
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz has demanded the court martial of former DG ISI Lieutenant General (retired) Faiz Hameed.

In an interview with a web channel, Maryam Nawaz said that Faiz Hameed played a role in toppling the PML-N government for two consecutive years and destroying the country by supporting the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan government for four years, so former DG ISI Lt Gen (retired) Faiz Hameed should be court martialed.

Maryam said that the former DG ISI should be made an example for playing an unconstitutional role so that no one would have such courage in the future. She said, "The biggest punishment for those who brought the ‘hybrid system’ was the public awareness campaign in the form of ‘Respect Vote’."

The PML-N senior vice president said that she criticizes the elements who play unconstitutional roles, adding that she is not in favor of targeting any institution. "I believe that institutions should also punish and hold such people accountable," she said.

Maryam further said that the accountability of such elements will increase the respect and honor of the institutions.

During the interview, Maryam Nawaz called former chief justice Saqib Nisar the biggest criminal in the nation. She said that Saqib Nisar is still active, and no matter how much he may lie now, the nation knows everything about him very well.

Maryam said that Saqib Nisar was sitting on the biggest chair of justice, but a colonel and a brigadier used to give him instructions. She went on to say that LT Gen (retired) Faiz used to give him orders and he never refused to follow them.

She further said that what then-chief justice Saqib Nisar did to an elected prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, was a greater injustice than the fact that he imposed an ‘incompetent and evil person’ on the nation. She further claimed that Saqib Nisar is no longer able to attend public gatherings due to fear of humiliation.
