'Delusional Thinking': Pakistan Rejects Senior BJP Politico's Akhand Bharat Remarks
Pakistan on Thursday rejected Assam Chief Minister Himata Biswa Sarma's statement on Akhand Bharat -- an expansionist idea of the Indian Union encompassing both: Pakistan and Bangladesh.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Foreign Office (FO) said that the statement was nothing but a manifestation of the 'Hindutva' majoritarian agenda of the ruling BJP and its revisionist and expansionist mind-set that seeks to subjugate the identity and culture of its neighbouring countries as well as its own religious minorities.

"It is also a reflection of the BJP's jaundiced view of history and delusional thinking... Indian politicians would be well advised to introspect, exhibit maturity, and not indulge in meaningless political rhetoric against other countries merely to further their divisive and parochial political agenda," it added.

Sarma had earlier said that Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should try to integrate Pakistan and Bangladesh with India to bring about an Akhand Bharat if he has any qualms about Partition. This, he claimed, the Congress was responsible for.
