The United Kingdom's general election made headlines when the Labour Party returned to power in the Westminister by beating the Conservatives after 14 years in a landslide victory. The voter turnout, however, remained low, and the independent candidates, the Green Party and the anti-immigrant Reform UK disrupted some key constituencies.
