A woman in Karachi’s Saddar area brutally killed a 65-year-old man who she was reportedly cohabiting with for many years. She also chopped his body into pieces.
Police Station House Officer (SHO) Sajjad Khan said that the police found the man’s body lying in a pile of clothes on the floor when they reached the crime scene. The official added that police were informed about the incident via a 15-helpline call received at 3 am on Friday and immediately reached the site of the incident.
While describing the crime scene, the police officer said that the head and the hands of the victim were lying separately in a box near the body, while a woman, who seemed to be intoxicated, was sleeping in another room in the house.
Neighbours informed the police that the suspect and the victim were often fighting over finances and other domestic issues.
According to the police, the suspected woman has been taken into custody, and evidence has been collected from the crime scene.
While speaking to Dawn, Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed said that the victim was “brutally murdered”.
While describing the condition of the body, she said that the head was smashed open with a blunt object, and brain matter was visible. She added that the head and the hands had been cut off from the rest of the body.
