Supreme Court Introduces E-Affidavit System And Instant Certified Copies Service At Lahore Registry

In a significant stride toward judicial reform and modernisation, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has launched two transformative initiatives at its Lahore Branch Registry. The initiatives, inaugurated by Mr. Salim Khan, Registrar of the Supreme Court, aim to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within the judicial system.

As part of the reforms spearheaded by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Yahaya Afridi, the Supreme Court introduced an E-Affidavit System and an instant certified copies service. These measures are designed to simplify judicial processes, benefiting litigants, lawyers, and the broader legal community.

The E-Affidavit System represents a pivotal step toward digital transformation in judicial operations. By enabling litigants and legal professionals to submit affidavits electronically, the platform reduces procedural delays and enhances transparency. This innovation ensures a smoother and more efficient filing process, expediting the delivery of justice.

In addition to the E-Affidavit System, the Supreme Court has introduced an advanced Case Management System to provide instant access to certified copies of case records, whether pending or disposed of in Islamabad. Lawyers and litigants can now obtain these documents directly from the Lahore Branch Registry, bypassing the traditional delays associated with manual document dispatch.

These initiatives reflect the judiciary's commitment to leveraging technology to improve service delivery and accessibility, reinforcing public confidence in the justice system.
