In the midst of an increase in street crimes in Karachi, police said on Friday that robbers in the city's Gulshan-e-Iqbal Chowrangi shot and killed another man for resisting robbery during Eid-ul-Fitr.
The deceased has been identified as Turab Zaidi, and further investigation is underway, according to law enforcement officials.
Deceaed Turab was the father of three children and the only son of his parents. He was gunned down after withdrawing money from an ATM.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been urged to take notice of the situation by the deceased's father. "He was drenched in blood after taking a bullet to the head. I ask the prime minister to intervene," his father stated while talking to journalists.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least 59 people perished and 200 more have been injured in Karachi's street crimes this year as a result of fighting robbery.
