27 Terrorists Killed During Multiple IBOs In DI Khan: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday that security forces killed 27 terrorists during an operation in DI Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's southernmost district.

The ISPR stated that they captured a large amount of weaponry and ammunition, as well as destroyed their hideouts and that terrorists involved in assaults on military personnel and citizens were eliminated in intelligence-based operations conducted in different areas.

However, two security personnel were martyred during the gunfight, according to the military's media wing.

Earlier, it added that 23 military personnel were martyred in a bombing and gun attack at a checkpoint in Daraban, a town located 40 miles west of DI Khan.

According to the ISPR, the security personnel were martyred after the terrorists slammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the compound's wall, causing the roof to fall.

According to the ISPR, there were six terrorists in all. "The attempt to enter the post was effectively thwarted, which forced the terrorists to ram an explosive-laden vehicle into the post, followed by a suicide bombing attack."

According to Reuters, a Pakistani Taliban group, the Tahreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP), which has emerged recently, said its militants carried out the attack. It was not immediately clear whether the group was linked to the main Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist group.
