'No Election Before Imran Khan Is Disqualified'
Senior journalist and analyst Hamid Mir has claimed that the next general elections will only be held when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been disqualified.

Speaking in the Geo News program 'Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Ke Saath', Mir said that many cases have been lodged against Imran Khan, but a trial has yet to commence. The reason for this is to conduct a thorough investigation of the May 9 incidents from various angles so as to lay a firm foundation for any subsequent trial.

Citing his confidential sources, Mir said that some of the people who were arrested in the aftermath of May 9 have made shocking revelations.

He hinted at a possible press conference of five or six people, who will turn approvers, in the coming days.

Mir said that many of the PPP leaders have expressed concerns about the caretaker governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The PPP, he said, is of the view that the caretaker governments in the federal and Balochistan will not hold elections.
